In this workshop you will learn techniques on establishing safe and supported back bends through stabilising the lower body with the help of the core muscles, props and proper alignment.
We will start by looking at the elements of a simple back bend – opening the upper, middle and lower back and also, the shoulders. Having a firm foundation in the feet, legs, hips and core muscles helps access and open the whole spine, while supporting us in the back arch.
Whatever your level of flexibility or experience, this workshop will give you the confidence to explore backbends in a fun and informed way!
